the half blood prince

IT'S HERE!!!!!!

i got my copy at about 1:30 in the afternoon on saturday. it's now 12:10 am on sunday morning and i've finished it.

everything and more that i was afraid of happening has happened in the book. i'm very stunned. (either from shell shock or because i've been reading for almost 12 hours)

whatever the cause, i'm not going to elaborate right now as i don't want to post any spoilers. i will say, however, that i'm really depressed.

i hope everyone finishes soon so we can talk about the ending!! aaaaah!! it's painful!

I know what you mean! I'm also shell-shocked after reading the book.
Can't wait for the 7th to be OUT!

And i love your cover! Mine is the Bloomsbury version, the artwork isnt as nice.

Blimey, that was quick! Archie's still on the second chapter! Mind you he is reading the Beano and The Edge Chronicles at the same time! he queued up on Friday night at midnight to get his copy (Hazel went with him) from the bookshop in town. The queue went for about 200 yards and Northwich is only a small town.

i can't wait for the seventh either, wenhao!

i've started rereading the older potter books this morning to see if i can unravel the clues in the half blood prince!!

that's really too funny! i like the bloomsbury cover better! haha!! it's got more action. the u.s. cover is very pensive...er, 'cause they're looking in the pensive...hee hee!

i set aside the whole day when the harry potter books come out, michael. (the other books i'm reading get shelved for about a week so i can reread all of the other ones too!)

i have friends that savor every chapter but i tear into the book like i'm starving. HAHHA!!! (also, i have to read it quickly so leff can get a shot at the book on the first day it's out too!)

i didn't go out to see the lines of people in memphis but i know that there was a party at the independent bookstore. (dunking booths! i could've dunked snape!!)

i tend to preorder so i don't have to drive anywhere. HAHAHA!!

Harhar! It is funny that you prefer the Bloomsbury cover!

Have you checked out J.K Rowling's Official site? www.jkrowling.com There's a link to her favourite fan site called The Leaky Cauldron.

The fan site is still in the process of finishing up their "Reader's Guide to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
(a complete chapter-by chapter guide with notes and commentary)"

They have guides to the other books too. Even a section comparing differences between the British and American version.

I queued for 30 min for my pre-ordered book as i was one of the first 100 to be at the bookshop.

Many bookshops in Singapore opened at 7.01am (GMT +8) and were giving out breakfast vouchers to Macs / Burger King to the 1st fifty customers.

but i haven't looked at the differences between the british and american versions yet! i think i'll do that today! thanks!

wow! free food with book purchase? that's nice of them! although i don't think i'd have had time for eating with the new harry potter book in hand! hahah!!
